Animal Tetris turns classic falling-block play into a cozy canvas puzzle built around seven expressive animal friends. Clear lines to score, keep consecutive clears going to double the combo multiplier, and earn bonuses when two animal faces meet across the board. Two rescue hearts can recover a crowded stack before the final top-out, while hard drops, rising levels, tiny animal particles, and a locally saved high score keep every round moving.
How to play
- Use Left and Right to move, Down for a soft drop, and Up, X, or Z to rotate.
- Press Space to hard drop. On touch devices, use the five buttons or tap and swipe directly on the board.
- Fill a complete row to clear it. Consecutive pieces that clear lines keep the combo alive and double its multiplier.
- Press P or Escape to pause, and press R to restart the round.
Play better
- Keep the top of the stack as flat as possible and avoid sealing empty cells underneath other blocks.
- A hard drop awards two points per cell, but check the landing position before committing.
- When two animal faces point directly toward each other, their heart meeting awards a bonus based on the current level.
- A rescue heart clears upper rows after a top-out, but you only begin with two, so treat each recovery as a second chance.

How is Animal Tetris different from a standard falling-block game?
Each shape is an animal friend with an expressive face. Face-to-face meetings create a heart bonus, consecutive line clears build a doubling combo, and two rescue hearts can recover the board after a top-out.
Can I play on a phone or tablet?
Yes. Five touch buttons cover movement, rotation, soft drop, and hard drop. You can also tap the board to rotate, swipe horizontally to move, and swipe down to hard drop.
Does the game save my progress?
Your high score is saved locally in the current browser. The board and active round are reset when the page is reloaded.
What do the rescue hearts do?
When the stack reaches the top, one remaining rescue heart removes several upper rows and lets the round continue. Reaching the top with no hearts left ends the game.
